I’m a writer, creative, and maker. I started Writing Meta to muse on the process of writing itself.
At heart, I’m a storyteller with a particular love for speculative fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. You can read some of my recent creative pieces on Medium.
I spent nearly a decade in public broadcasting at the PBS NewsHour, Colorado Public Radio, and Aspen Public Radio on general assignment with a particular focus on education, the arts, and the military.
For the last seven years, I have been writing and communicating for K-12 education nonprofit organizations both in-house and as a consultant, from writing for websites and blogs to ghost-writing op-eds and other traditional media.
I’m also a mom, pug enthusiast, and all-around geek. Looking for someone to chat about Doctor Who or try out a new board game? I’m your gal.
This is my second blog-in-earnest, the first being The Nerdy Sewist, where I shared an important discovery: that making things, whether it be with fabric, paint, or words, gives me life.
